HTC Corporation is a Taiwanese manufacturing company, founded in 1997, the manufacturer of Smartphones and Tablets. They announced a new phone in the budget segment with similar features of Samsung S3 Mini. This phone “HTC Desire U” will fill the higher price segment of its earlier sibling “HTC Desire C”. “HTC Desire U” seems to have Sense4 and it runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. ‘Sense 4’ is a new operating system that makes Smartphone a smooth running device, eye catching and easy to use.

HTC Desire U is fitted with a 4-inch screen that has a resolution of 800 X 480.  It has internal storage of 4 GB with expandable memory up to 32 GB through a Micro SD with single Core CPU 1.0 GHz and GPU Adreno 200. The Smartphone has 512 MB of Ram and runs on a 1 GHz Processor. The phone has a 5 MP camera with WVGA (Wide Video Graphics Array) with a resolution of 800 X 480 pixels; the display is a pleasure to the eye. Other features include radio, GPS, proximity sensors, accelerometer, Java via Java MIDP emulator, Dual SIM (Mini-SIM, dual stand-by), WI-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with all connectivity bells and whistles. The phone comes with one 1650 mAh battery and Beats Audio. HTC Desire U comes with many personalized options. Some of them are mentioned here:

  • Facilities for application shortcuts on the lock screen
  • Array of attractive HTC widgets to put on your home screen
  • The facility to use third party widgets for your home screen

  • Option for folder creation and movement

So it is a light and small fit in your palm phone that you can easily operate with one hand. It has great features with good Android OS, v4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich operating system in a mid level hardware. The HTC Desire U has a capacitive touch screen, the touch pad of which reduces the visible distance between the point of contact on the screen and the user’s finger. It creates a more direct contact for a responsive touch screen. The multi touch screen for this Smartphone is excellent for playing game with many works attached. The 1GHz processor has great speed, can run many applications and perform multi tasking but some heavy games are not well supported. 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and has a huge collection of features and exciting look; it works with increased simplicity and speed. The 5 MP camera can take high quality pictures at 2592 X 1944 pixels. The video recorder records with quality and Geo tagging features. HTC Desire U comes with, videos, games, movies from the Google Android Market. You can turn on the internet through WI-Fi hotspot and play internet without any charges.
